The Honeywell Prestige HD is the flagship device in the Honeywell Programmable Thermostat range. It is capable of controlling not only the heating and cooling in a house but also of regulating the indoor relative humidity levels. It can control humidifiers and dehumidifiers attached to the HVAC systems. The Honeywell Prestige HD can be bought as a standalone unit or with an Outdoor Sensor and Comfort Station. These devices are connected to the Prestige HD via RedLINK™ enabled wi-fi.

The Outdoor Sensor sends data to the Prestige HD about the outdoor temperature and humidity. The thermostat displays this information and makes recommendations about indoor temperature and humidity. It is a system that really allows the homeowner to precisely control indoor climate.

The Comfort Station is a small portable touchscreen that acts as a 'master' device. From the comfort station the user can change the settings of up to 16 Prestige HD thermostats in the house. This device gets rave reviews because it allows people to reduce the heating/cooling in unoccupied parts of the house and to warm up the bedroom before retiring.

Another remarkable aspect of the Honeywell THX9321R5000 Prestige HD Thermostat is the programming interface. The thermostat display is clearer than any other thermostat display thanks to high defintion color graphics. Honeywell have also spent a lot of time making the display easy to use. In consumer testing the Prestige HD scored 9.5 out of 10 for ease of use. For the beginner there is the option of using an interview wizard that asks simple questions and uses the answers to set up the 7 daily programs. These settings can then be exported to other Prestige HD thermostats via a USB port that accepts memory sticks.
